When Santa comes to town this Christmas, he might want to drop by Emerald’s Visitor Information Centre! The VIC has a range of unique, locally-made souvenirs that would make ideal Christmas gifts for long-time residents and faraway families. “Not only will you be giving them something that has a real Central Highlands flavour, you’ll also be supporting the creative locals who’ve produced the items,” VIC Co-Ordinator Sally Roberts says. Gift ideas include:
- Dinosaur jigsaw puzzles
- Historical books on the Bauhinia, Capella, Emerald and Gemfields Districts
- Relish, cheese boards, pottery and jewellery.
