The launch of a new events hub for the Central Queensland Highlands makes it easier than ever to Explore More of the region’s thriving social scene.
What’s On – Central Queensland Highlands, unveiled just in time for the Queensland school holidays, is now the official events calendar for the region.
Its launch coincided with the social media premiere of Explore More of Blackdown Tableland, the second in a new series of tourism promotion video clips.
The idea of the double launch is to demonstrate that Central Queensland Highlands has a range of drawcards.
“Whether you like getting away from it all to explore natural attractions, or you’re more of a social creature who likes mingling amongst a crowd, you’ll find it in the Central Queensland Highlands,” Paul Thompson, Tourism Development Coordinator at Central Highlands Development Corporation (CHDC), says.
The easy-to-navigate, mobile-friendly platform includes a search function and categories to find upcoming events, including sporting competitions, kids’ activities, markets and festivals, and business and industry workshops.
