The Food & Fibre Plus Inter-Regional Workshop will be delivered by the Central Highlands Development Corporation, Advance Queensland & Department of Agriculture & Fisheries.
The Food & Fibre Plus project is a new initiative that will bring together regional Central Queensland producers, businesses, government entities, community groups, researchers and other stakeholders to investigate the use of a cluster networking system to enhance business sustainability and resilience through collaboration and innovation in the food and fibre and associated cross-industry sectors.
Through stakeholders working collectively, Food & Fibre Plus, aims to drive collaborative action for circular economy opportunities, cooperative agri-tourism, improved water security, value chains, sustainable food systems and land management while celebrating the uniqueness of each region.
Following the launch on 6 October 2020, this second event will use interactive input tools to confirm key challenges faced by producers and communities, seek to identify the key driving forces (both positive and negative) and explore the opportunities that can arise by ensuring responses are targeted and effective.
Outputs from these workshops will be used at the final co-design event planned for the 27 and 28 January 2021.
