OzHelp Foundation (OzHelp) is excited to be partnering with Dr. Meg Perceval, Be Health, and the Australian Institute for Suicide Research and Prevention (AISRAP) through Griffith University to deliver CARE for Rural Australia, coming to regional, rural, and remote Queensland in March 2021.
CARE© is a leading evidence-based wellbeing and suicide prevention program that addresses the health needs of people living and working in regional, rural, and remote communities, particularly those working in farming, agribusiness, and other agricultural industries. CARE© has been developed in rural communities for people in rural communities, using best evidence and practice-based experience spanning many years. The CARE© program has been evaluated and shown to improve health outcomes, such as mental wellbeing, as well as knowledge, confidence, and skills to be better able to recognise and respond when others may need a hand.
OzHelp is committed to building on the existing evidence base to improve health outcomes and contribute to suicide prevention. For this reason, we have partnered with AISRAP through Griffith University to independently evaluate the CARE for Rural Australia project. Participation in this study is completely optional, however, if you do choose to participate, your involvement is sincerely appreciated.
