Carnarvon Gorge Accommodation Update

Takarakka Bush Resort at Carnarvon Gorge, Central Queensland Highlands, will be closed from Feb 8th until Feb 28th 2021 to carry out important maintenance work.
Unfortunately, being the off-season, this means NONE of our formal accommodation providers will be open during this time.
This leaves Big Bend as the only available campsite. However, please be aware that this National Park campsite is ONLY accessible on foot, is a 10km walk (one-way) from the Visitor Information Centre, and must be booked online using the following link: https://qpws.usedirect.com/QPWS/
The closest formal accommodation can be found in the townships of Rolleston (110km away) and Injune (160km away).
